Alberta Waterfowl Trip 2016 - (in the field daily report)

Great going John.......It's not always about the numbers......Waterfowling in Canada is an experience every duck or goose hunter should experience at least once in their life.

are you guys in layout or popup blinds? Any pictures of the blinds. Also any method to your decoy layout?

Hey Drew,

we are using layout/coffin blinds which work great. The mobility of taking shots behind you etc is a drawback though.2016-09-20 16.06.02.jpg

I agree Steve. We have been hunting Canada for 13 years now and every year is different, but all of the hunts are great. We have good friends we stay with every year and it is just as much about visiting them and being part of the farming operation as it is about the hunting. Like you said, Canada is an amazing place if you are a hunter. And it is the waterfowl mecca of North America!

I can get to the border in 13 hours. I don't have an excuse. I need to do it in the next few years.
