I have seen many that are nice to look at but don't seem very comfortable for modern hunting.

I am taking an open sight 30-30 marling and my bow to AK this year to hunt sitka black tails. The long range thing has kind of been turning me off the past few years. I like the challenge/process more than the kill.

Well for me they are alive and doing well. Like EdF, I have a model 94 in 30-30- I also have a Browning Bl-22 grade 2, which I love to shoot.
