If anyone is interested in looking into the access for Jeff Valley I'd be interested in joining that effort. I have a copy of the deed when Jeff Valley was donated to the National Forest and it describes the ingress/egress easement from East Grade Road. The file is 9MB and the site wouldn't let me attach it here. Jeff Valley was added to the National Forest in February 2018. In March 2018 I went to the Ranger's office in Ramona and asked about it. They gave me a 1 page map of Jeff Valley and highlighted where it could be accessed. I immediately went to Jeff Valley that afternoon, took several photos and emailed them to the Rangers saying how great this addition was for the National Forest. However, by the time deer archery season opened at the beginning of September that Phil guy had convinced the Rangers to stop allowing people to use the easement. So I didn't go there anymore.
For deer rifle season I found a rental cabin on Conifer Road and before renting it I asked if I would be able to access Jeff Valley to hunt during a 3 night rental. The owners said yes and that they enjoyed having hunters rent their cabin (this is all documented through VRBO.com and I'm sure it would have helped me if a trespass issue had occured). Once I arrived at the cabin I noticed ATV riders were going in and out of Jeff Valley a few times each day (this is illegal with a $5,000 fine and up to 6 months in jail, and may be the reason they are trying to keep everyone out) I marked in OnxMaps where they are entering/exiting Jeff Valley and it is very rudded with tire tracks. A day later when I went to walk into Jeff Valley to hunt I bumped into the Phil guy. He practically kicked/spat on me while telling me how many trespassers he catches and that I'm a 'bad person.' I didn't want to bring the cabin owners into the issue because they had been nice to me throughout the rental process. However, I later realized that it wasn't a coincidence I ran into Phil when I did and that the cabin owners had to have set me up for that interaction. For the last two days of my cabin rental the Phil guy would stop by the cabin each time he was going to ATV into Jeff Valley. He didn't say anything further about hunting or Jeff Valley but I'm sure he was checking to make sure I wasn't going in there.
i looked at the easement locations and i cant plot the coordinated they have. coulkd anyone help?I just replied to your message @Sdhunt17

the rangers know him. i gave him his name and number and told them i saw tracks and a trail from his property.Must be having a land dispute.
Can get ugly.
Seems to me call the ranger for endangerment and hunter harassment.
That... is called... Assault with a Deadly Weapon, And, Imminent Threat to Life and Limb. (Especially with your damn family all up in the car!) You could have killed his stupid @$$, and been within your rights to do so.My family didn’t notice anything was unusual (which I was glad about because this was a vacation in Thanksgiving week) until Phil swerved his truck at our truck while we were returning from eating at Mother’s Kitchen (I wish I had a dash cam).
If starts with his BS call them.the rangers know him. i gave him his name and number and told them i saw tracks and a trail from his property.
yea its a good piece of land i explored that whole.Well This was on my list of scouting spots but I might want to wait until this is resolved. I pinned it up in ONX a few weeks ago and was planning on checking it out with another guy on this site last weekend but the rain prevented us. Glad to hear it is so easy to access and the landowners are so great to work with. Might want to pull the name out of your post though before every Tom dick and Harry goes up there.
