Good way to die for sure, I know of a well known person from the L.A. navhda chapter that tried to get his floundering GSP out of a canal in Mex a few years ago, His name was Guido and he was a main stay of the chapter, they recovered both his carcass and his dog about a week later at a flood gate. Never ever enter a irrigation canal for any reason, they can be steep and fast flowing with no way to get a grasp. It's just a stupid way to die for a four ounce dove.
