BREAKING HIDES - Already Tanned, Stiff - What to do now?

Larry, Were on two different fields of play.... I'm about 33% with you, 1/3 of every post I make offends you. At least we're consistent. I'm bamboozled that you have written upwards of 500 words because of one sentence that I wrote. One sentence that was obviously intended as a joke and offended nobody.... but the Larry. I'll turn on CNN if I want to see drama. By the way, I've helped you and answered your questions numerous times on this forum... you've never helped me, not once. Ed F

As for the flexin' on Nic. Meh... Well... that kinda falls into that category of "This is an A-B conversation, so why don't you go and C yourself out of it." type of deal. You know what I mean? It's like one of those moments where you're like "Bitch, I don't remember anyone askin' you a Got-Damn thang!" Again.. falls back to that respect thing.

You're a fuking tool.... period. Ed F

My personal experiences with @BOWUNTR have been great. I shot a bull a few years back about 3 hours from his house he called me up and asked me to send him a pin and he would be there to help me pack it out. Luckily I pulled a Hatchet on that bull and was able to put in in my truck.
The next day I showed up at Ed’s with a 12 pack of beer and he taught me how to cape that bull.
Hunted Coues last year called Ed he said look here here and here. Three deer later thanks Ed.
@BOWUNTR is a stand up dude. Respect is hard to earn and easy to lose. Ed has my complete and total respect.

In a perfect world it would be nice to not answer if one didn't have a good thing to say, but it's the interweb and anything goes I guess.

Just my opinion... If I don't know the person in the real world I won't reply with a eff'd up reply, that's just my personal preference. Unless one has built an online relationship because of years of being on here and kinda got to know that online person somewhat and can joke around. Just about everyone on here is cool if you stay on their cool side. On the hide question, If I was a taxi guy and someone asked about it, I probably wouldn't help because at one point it might take money out of my pockets.

Hey anyone have a spot where I can take my kid fishing in the Pacific Beach area? I'll be there later today.

depends if you have an ocean stamp.. PB is tough lots of tourist there. closer to the jetty might be better.
also for your info , if the jetty sticks out into the ocean it is considered a pier structure, no license required.
so I was told by DF& W. but don't trust them I would have an ocean stamp any way.

well my take on this is when a chicken has a open sore all the chickens start pecking at it...
or murder of crows , if one crow or raven gets out of line, and doesn't follow their rules. they all beat it up..
or like piranhas if one little cut happens a little blood starts they go into a frenzy,, you know what happens next..
well enough said, I am waiting to be next and get my ass booted out of here, o well I was thinking about going back to fishing.
getting to much drama for my taste. guess I am partly at fault.... don't break the rules or else you know.....

You can surf fish north of the pier get a little ways away from the pier to avoid the crowds. I like a 2” gulp sand worm camo color. I run a 1/2 egg sinker, swivel, 2’ leader with a real small hook. Cast into the surf let the waves bring it in slowly retrieve as it comes in. YouTube gulp sand worm you will get the idea.

Or fish a 4 oz sinker with 2’ leader larger bait hook with cut anchovies or squid that always works well.

If there is a bunch of kelp just go swimming don’t waste your time.

If you swing by a tackle shop prior, pick up some blood worms. Those seem to consistently produce.
Be careful though, they will latch on to you if you aren't careful.

I concur with your statement that Ed is a stand up guy. He just has some "interesting" idiosyncrasies to get used to. No big deal. Just frustrating at times.
