Was this the kid who got dragged through the mud and deer confiscated because he took the shot with his back like 100 yards from a wood shed?Josh with his 148 (Archery)....They just don't get much bigger than this................

If it’s legal, anything’s a trophy hereWhat do you guys consider a D16 trophy? I mean based on size/inches. Not sentimental. I am aware that any legal buck is an accomplishment here but that not what I am talking about. I think 100in is a good start. what do you guys think
Yes I have a 120, 118, 106, and a bunch over 80 that I haven't measured. I also shot plenty of forks when I started out in the early 90s. How big was that 4x4 you shot a while ago. That was big, 130? That is a trophy.80” s gets you in the CBH book for archery.
Personally I think 90” for So Cal is a very respectable buck.
The # of people that have killed D16 bucks in the 100,110,120,130 range gets very small as the inches go up.
Since you’re asking. Did you kill a 100” buck ?
I have hunted here for about 35 years. It took me 3 years to get my first deer, I am aware of how hard it is and how many feel the same way you do, but I disagree, A legal buck here on public is an accomplishment, yes but not the same as a trophy animal. I am not knocking guys who shoot forks. I have probably shot 10 of them in the beginning. I am just curious as to what the guys who have been doing it for a long time consider a trophy animal. If it’s legal, anything’s a trophy here
Yeah that poor guy got robbed literally.Josh with his 148 (Archery)....They just don't get much bigger than this................
