Man, there have been quite a few deer killed right next to my house over the last month. At least 4 within the last 2 weeks off of the 67 / scrips poway parkway area.

Today I saw a nice buck in velvet on my way home from work. I had not seen any for the first 4 months living here, now quite a few. Maybe they are traveling for water?

@JakeSCH I've seen a handful of nice 3x's hit on the 67 between Foster Truck Trail and Sycamore Park Dr.

Is the Guejito area where Arizona bucks were released a while ago? I thought I read something about that on here.

Pretty soon you might be able to harvest a fresh one...https://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/national-international/gov-newsom-signs-roadkill-bill/1964553/

Story goes that bucks from "The Strip" were released on the Guejito and Cuyamaca State park....Who released them (DFG?) and when (1940's), I do not know.

ps...My old friend Mitch (RIP) was the biologist on the Guejito...He used to show me pix of some pretty tremendous bucks on there...Mitch shot this monster.

27 1/2" wide, heavy mass, and the animal itself was well over 200 lbs.
