Despite the 113 degree weather, the valley was quite pleasant (a dry heat ;D).....Not a ton of euros, but enough to keep Cody & I busy......Ended up with 35 at 9:00 am and headed for breakfast/lunch at the Buckshot. Met up with Rick and went over some of the changes to the campground this year.....Then I proceeded to show Cody some of the secret spots at Wister and surrounding areas.....Lots of waterfowl, especially mallards...... ;)

I love the IV........... 8)

Wister's overnight camping will have 32 numbered spaces versus the just park anywhere like it has been in the past.....You'll also have to sign in with that space # at the kiosk that we're building in the southeast corner.

Ideal spot for the SCH pheasant hunt party.....And it's free.

Steve,

Is 32 spots all that site can fit? Kind of nice that it will be a little more organized. Although, I never had any issues with how it was before.

Is the mallard population looking anything like it was last season? That opener was sumthin' else.

Nick,

Unfortunately, there were issues last year.....Probably could get more spaces, but by having the center open (all sites are on the perimeter/see map), everyone can pull in and out of their chosen spot......Only one way in and one way out and separated from the permanent camping by posts.

And yes, to the mallards. Everywhere there was water there were birds. I foresee a great opener. Although I don't see W12 being the hotspot like it was last year. Water was kept on it all summer. This year it's dry.

Thanks for the map Steve. We usually just park there and crash in someone else's trailer. Probably better to be organized.
