Jack Rabbits the size of my Boston Terrier in the IV. Almost had to box one like a kangaroo.
Bring a 4x4 don't get stuck in the sand.
A lot has changed in the IV
Look for fields that have grain
BummerThat's one of the problems with the IV these days...Very little grain being grown...And, if it is, it's winter wheat......................![]()
lots of lovely solar fields........That's one of the problems with the IV these days...Very little grain being grown...And, if it is, it's winter wheat......................![]()
bummer to hear but its been over a decade since ive missed an opener! will be out there having fun with friends either way! hope some birds show up!Spent all day in the Valley yesterday. Outlook is less than strong. Not much grain as Steve had mentioned in an earlier post.
I'm planning to hunt the dove opener this year but a buddy of mine in the IV said the freak monsoon rain storm last weekend blew all the dove down south. Anyone else have intel on this?
Thanks Steve. It's raining out there again today...Could be pretty sloppy, but shouldn't effect mourning doves much............![]()
probably pushed a lot but they aint all gone!!I'm planning to hunt the dove opener this year but a buddy of mine in the IV said the freak monsoon rain storm last weekend blew all the dove down south. Anyone else have intel on this?
Got down there a little later than planned but there was definitely less birds in my spots than usual. Not saying it'll suck but maybe have a couple options open in case your first spot sucks (maybe just my spots suck?). I hit a euro spot in Plaster City on my way home and found a crew of guys on the X so had to settle for X adjacent which was not ideal. Dropped 6 around 10:30am then headed home.Any updates on the IV? My buddy had to quit hunting due to surgery, and I’m still undecided about going alone this year
