Getting Kids in the Outdoors

Hello all,

Is there any events in southern California that get kids more involved with the outdoors? (Hunting, Fishing, Camping) I am originally form Hawaii but I live in OC now and see a lot of kids that don't get the opportunity or have the resources to get out in the outdoors. I think its important for kids to learn and experience the outdoors and learn the life lessons that come with it. If anyone knows of any events or organizations that do outdoor activities for kids I would like to get involved and help/volunteer if possible. My kids love all outdoor activities and they love when they see other kids into it too. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Compton Hunting and Fishing Club has a youth enhancement program. They go fishing, pheasant hunt at Tejon Ranch and other events. Link below

When my girls were little I had them in Indian Princesses via the YMCA. We went on lots of camping trips together. Not sure if the Y still offers the program but it was great.

They still have it under a different name. We have a couple family friends that are in it.
