Hunter found

I would encourage everyone, especially if you're going alone, to consider a Garmin InReach. Satellite texting via your phone and one-button emergency rescue. Push the button, and emergency services are notified of your GPS location. You can also text them so they know what the problem is, and if you have injuries or whatever. Something like this would have made his 20 days into more like a few hours. The texting isn't limited to emergencies either. You can text routine messages to people too. It also functions as a regular old GPS unit, like a lot of us carry into the woods anyway.

Guess he found his limitations.
Prolly just testing his survival skills. He had two weeks rations. Just sayin

It's somewhat alarming they were not able to find him. You would think a silver truck on an off-road trail could be located in 3 weeks of searching.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
