Is this deer or bear poop? Elvation 8000ft roughly. This is D5 tahoe national forest. Poop was all over. I saw

Why is it all clumpy? Ive only seen it before in d16 and its pellets.

This is just regular old deer crap. If you look close, you see it's still many individual pellets clumped together. The difference it's in what that deer just ate.

If it's individual pellets, the deer ate more of a woody type diet. Think acorns, leaves, twigs, etc

If clumped together, the deer has been eating more of a green or grassy diet.

Constipated deer...nothing more..nothing less...dude needs to drink more fluids...

Found some decent sized droppings in the 16..found water, tons of acorns good cover but no deer..Heard 3 sets of shots in the area during opener but at least 2 sounded like hailmarys..dudes were taking 3 shots.
