It's time to start looking for a new truck so I'll have it before hunting season. Looking to buy a Ram: power wagon, rebel or longhorn fun, fun

I bought the rebel a couple years back, has been a fantastic truck.

Ram diesel are having serious issues with their fuel pumps. Do some research. My son's 2020 Ram just got out of the shop. Fortunately warranty covered it. 17-20k to repair

Friends was just out of warranty. Cost him close to 3k. To be fair, I have know guys who zero problems.

Make sure it has Great AC!! And a couple of cup holders...those are non negotiable!!

These new ones have seat heaters and seat ac units. Wife said sitting on a warm seat while I was outside breaking down an elk in 0 degree weather was pleasant.

About three months ago I went out looking to buy a new GMC Yukon. Could not find a dealer that was willing to give an inch and I tried three. All three were asking a lot over MRSP. Not sure about Dodge but GM was and maybe still is way behind on production because some of the plants switch over to make ventilators at the peak of Covid. My fishing friend sells RV's for well know So.Cal RV dealer. He said it's stupid what they are getting for RV's, but he's loving it. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Roomie just bought a new Dodge Bighorn Eco-Diesel...Nice truck, but issues already...Can't name the things, but I know one is a recall.

I agree the RV market is crazy. I have been looking get another rv this year but they are priced 30-40k above book value and they will not negotiate so I walk out. Not gonna pay those prices

They don't call them "DODGE" for nothing. I dodge them and Chevy. And the new Fords are known lately for electrical issues. The real question is there a good reliable vehicle anymore?

Dodge went back to the cp3 injection pump for 2021. The cp4 was the problem child. Ford still uses the cp4 pump. I'm not brand biased but wound up back into a dodge.

My 2020 ford was not a bad pickup mechanically, just the payload recall that prompted me to offload it.

As far as how long the order takes...lol...I haven't a clue, I'm still waiting.

That is an excellent point. I own a Ram 1500 and the AC is decent at best!.... I also have a Chevy SUV and that thing is a freezer!....that was the case with my last Chevy too.

Just spent 6 fiddy on my A/C on the Expedition...It does have 205,000 on her....... ;)

ps...299, 547 on the Ford Exploder and still going strong...Best $1,500.00 bucks, I ever spent....:joy:

I have a 2016 Ram 2500 4x4 Cummins Diesel. Except for a few minor recalls no problems so far (knock on wood). The big recall was for the water pump. The first one they put on due to the recall had a pinhole leak but they replaced that no problem. Other than that, best truck I've ever owned. As for the eco-diesel, I was considering one but my diesel mechanic son said they've had a lot of problems with that engine but the Cummins is just about bulletproof.

lol love my 92 f150 but just can't get a steering Colum for it plus it has over 300k miles on it. Pulled the trigger on a 2020 Ram limited today.
