Well it looks like you got another "first" duck this season, after your recent bull spoon. I'd say thats going to make for some great memories of this season, and the reason that after 45 years of waterfowling I still enjoy every hunt, because you never know what surprise that day in the blind will bring. That’s pretty cool, I want to take a trip to owens valley for ducks eventually. At one of our fishing spots I found empty shells next to the water, I just have to check with fish and game that its legal. A friend of ours also sent us a photo of a successful hunt up there, with the location attached, plus they had the sierras in full view behind them so it wasn’t hard to figure out anyways. I’ll be trying that spot eventually too!
It's a beautiful place to hunt waterfowl...Had the pleasure of living up there for a couple years.

Wish I did...I don't have any of hunting Bolsa Chica (Hunting Beach) either...My 1st duck pics I have are of the upper Owens around 1966.
ps...Still have that jacket in the museum...lol
