I finally got to put my knife to work for the first time & get some meat in my freezer!! This deer is a GIANT in my eyes!

It’s been 5 years in the making since I started deer hunting in the 16’, & my third time out of state, lots of hours behind the glass & many miles hiked. First of many, but now i’m going to focus on more mature mule deer now that I got my first one bagged.

Stoked to get him euro mounted!

Congrats man!

Hopefully this comes across the right way, but the hair issue may be more related to your skill (first time) than the actual method used. You'll keep getting better! I love the gutless method and use a mylar blanket to help keep the meat clean. I always have one for safety reasons anyways.
