Had some time today to put together a bag dump video of the gear I ran in 2020 on my backpack hunts. This is just what works for me and I am constantly tweaking this set up depending on weather location etc. hope you find this helpful. Do me a favor and like and subscribe to my YouTube channel. Also a few comments alway help.

Add 6 pounds for water in the bladder. 9 for the rifle. Then that 1.5 per day for food turns into another 6 for 4 days. Also if you can’t get water ( like usual for me) turns into another 16 pounds real quick.

boom you got 67 pounds to pack in.
still not bad. I had 72 on my back going up the hill for my AZ hunt this year.

Ya only had about a Liter in the bladder. Water is heavy. I hate water wish it wasn’t so necessary for life.

Thanks for the ideas! I'll need to look into adding zip-offs, gun slicker, jetboil, and GTP-III to my wish list

I bring a small squirt bottle filled with Siracha. Have to have Siracha.

Great video and good tips! I really need to get the extra water bladder, I usually end up bringing a 1 gal plastic bottle and it can slosh / be noisy. Also, the Cholula and the Siracha packets that work well.

@Kellendv turned me onto those MSR Dromlite bags they are awesome for around camp. Pump once cry once. Ya I help myself to the siracha packets at Panda Express every chance I get.
