Looking into expanding my season. Curious what muzzleloader does everyone run? So many different variations of muzzle loaders. Will be used for western states and ca only.

CVA has a great line that will fit your budget. I'd bet you will be more limited by the sights than by the gun so I would make sure you have some coin to invest there.

He talked me into the CVA optima with Glove sites. It’s a great gun. I use two White Hot Pellets and a thor bullet super simple.

The hazmat charge & shipping is outrageous if you place a small order. Not as bad if you stock up on powder and primers.

yeah, have to buy a 10000 + hasmat fee +$$$$$$$$$. I don't plan on shooting that many rounds, I just want to be able to shoot my new rifle. Anyone want to go in on a 1000 or more primers?
I can't be the only one having this issue.

Sounds like you've already jumped, but I'll throw in anyway. Check the regs for where you want to hunt. Some states do not allow in-lines. Some states do not allow scopes. Some states do not allow sabots. It can get tricky figuring it all out.

I have a couple muzzleloaders. 40 and 45 accurate to @5-600 depending on the wind. I shoot a 275g bullet @2750fps

Many. States .and many more( in the making)....will not allow Scopes....keep that in mind...aim high at 100 plus dude... I think?? Smoke poles are cool for a reason.
