I have been considering building a buying a ML for hunting and was looking at purchasing a Endura Pro and was curious what everyone's thoughts are? I know they are new from CVA so maybe there isn't much experience with them yet. Also being I'm new to the ML game what are some other items I would need to purchase in order to shoot and enjoy my ML? and any advice from experienced ML hunters would be great. Thank you.

Dude I know you just call Luke at Arrowhead rifles and bite the bullet on a bitchen ML. Those things are next level just watched a video last night of a guys 80yo grandpa smoking a bull at 670yds this year.

you do know me; I like having the best gear. I have looked over his website and considered calling him I'm just not sure with the open site laws on a ML and most states that I would hunt in with it, being non smokeless powder not used if his rifles would benefit me since with those laws in place making an ethnical shot would be sub 300 yards. I know his rifles are capable of shooting 500 plus yards but with those rules it handicaps you to under 300 yards at best. I know you have one does yours have open sites? and how far are you confident shooting it on game ? if you have an open site.

Brady Miller is using his open site and shooting super far.

What you can do is buy a paramount and Arrowhead makes a kit for it to accurize

it would be interesting to chat with brady and see how far he feels comfortable shoot game, I know that he shoots them pretty far at the range. yeah I should call arrowhead and see what he suggests, he may say that the direction im going is best for my situation or likely he will end up selling me on one of his rifles haha.

Arrowhead is the first place for looks and performance and all the Gucci stuff. If you want second place in regards to looks, look up LR customs out of Utah. When you get down to it it’s all about a quality barrel the arrowhead breach plug some BH209 and sizing. He makes a sight that’s a little more affordable than the Revic. When I got into the sizing that’s where the magic happens.

I’m going to try out another muzzle loader I was given this Monday it’s a Knight Mountaineer and I’m glad I got into the weeds on capabilities.
The LR Custom I have is capable of 115-120 by weight of BH 209 I settled on 110 just due to recoil. The Knight has a max of 110 by volume I’m starting at 70 by weight. I’m going to try some Thor bullets (all copper)I hopes of a decent Muzzy tag here in Cali someday.

There’s a pretty big black powder underworld if you do your digging. Arrowhead definatly made it look good.

Believe it or not, custom muzzys are often more accurate than a center fire cartridges for a multitude of reasons. That being said there are 3-4 top notch builders. Luke and Larry Bush are right at the top. I would recommend either a complete build or buy a screw on barrel from Luke for an Encore. 45 cal is the way to go, 40 cal are finicky. My 45 regularly shoots 1/2 moa @700…. That being said they get pushed around in the wind
