New Truck Advice

Carli as mentioned above, all depends on how much you want to spend. Icon is another to look at. If you're talking about street ride with no weight in an F350, Carli has rear leaf springs that are supposed to help a lot but you'll have a reduced payload without adding air bags.

This. I wouldn't go higher then 2-3". With all due respect, you already rolled one no need to bring the center of gravity any higher then you have to. Plus you can probably fit 38's with that. One of the best things you can do for ride is to air the tires down when not towing.

That's a great looking truck by the way and I am glad you are safe!

ok now that you got a new rig how the hell did you smash up the old truck so bad?

Current Dodge 2500 SLT 4x Diesel is at 100 k miles. No issues. The 2 trucks before that exact same truck; both went to almost 400k miles. Wouldn’t buy another
brand !
Deisel mechanic said if there was a truck that had the Cummins motor, Allison transmission and the Ford body he buy it .
He said look out in my lot, what do you see ? All Fords & Chevys; they are both going to make my retirement great !! Lol !!

Kenny, forgot to say I’m glad to hear you are okay!! Looks scary ! If you willing would like to hear the story of that roll over ?
One thing I would say to anyone looking to purchase a new vehicle.
Do the entire haggling process online. My current truck, wife’s Toyota FourRunner, and daughters Ford Explorer were bought online.
Find the exact vehicle you want, ie, Make, Model etc..
Create a group email to all dealers in the distance you are willing to travel to complete purchase. Request a quote of vehicle; then use that email to grind down the price.
Example with the truck I have now; I sent a group email to every Dodge dealer from Santa Barbara to San Diego to Vegas to Bakersfield.
All dealers responded within 24 hours. 2 dealers, one in Lancaster and one in Carlsbad were considerably higher than the rest, about 10 grand more. I resent email so that all dealers could see the others prices. The 2 high quotes; I told them they would need to get in line with the rest or they would be deleted from the process. Within hours both came down in price in line with the others. Now that all can see each other’s quotes, play them against each other. I did this for 2+ months, in the end I was beating them up for 60 - 100 dollars, and trade in money on old truck. Surprisingly the guy in Lancaster stayed till the very end. Towards the end dealers would say they could go no lower; after confirmation they were deleted from the email. When dealers start dropping off email in droves you know you are getting there.
In the end I had 4 dealers; one finally said “when you think you have the best price, I will beat it.”
Ended up going with that dealer. I spoke with the guy over the phone for 10 minutes to make sure we were n be other on the same page as far as OTD price and trade in. The next day I drove out, papers were already done, signed em and was headed back home in 1 hour.
Never again will I go to lots and deal with salesman, except to nail down exact make and model.
My wife has always hated the new car purchase process; me I never minded it too much. I just played the game the played. No genius but I think I’m smarter than Car Salesman and never took stuff personal. Wife was stoked about the process for her Toyota; she actually did most of the correspondence with dealers and got a kick out of playing dealers against each other. Kinda flips the scrip they like to play with folks!!
