Does anyone here know of good spots for Turkey hunting In Oroville W.A. California? Im driving 6-7 hrs. There to hunt from a draw I enter and never been there just want to make it worth my time and money invest. I read somewhere online to start by the shoothing range closer to the river but not sure. Any advice, tips or spots u can share anyone?

I think the drive time is irrelevant to the experiences you will have and lessons learned. Hopefully in the end you can even kill a Turkey.

Hunting is a never a guarantee. When you applied to "hunt" there I imagine you knew it was going to be 6 to 7 hours to get there. I am sure there is someone that lives closer or maybe even further that would love to have that opportunity.

I don't have any spots for you, but I would ask around for a hunter friendly warden or biologist in that area and call them.

Go into the hunt with a positive mind. Just remember just because a spot was good yesterday does not mean it will produce tomorrow.

I have a warden friend and the NWTF biologist that live up that way....I'll PM them....Lots of turkeys in NoCal….There's also turkey hunting in Little Dry Creek & Spenceville Wildlife Area's.

ps....A number of turkeys have been transplanted from the City of Davis to these wildlife areas.

Yes I understand ..and I knew but to drive those hours back and forth its expensive. But yup Im thinking of advice from warden

Relentless, keep in mind you may not even get a draw; and in general birds get more and more weary as the season goes on. What days did you apply for? I would check with the area manager not the local wardens for tips..
