Turned 50 and was drawn for the SJ family pheasant hunt. High hopes for the hunt as I got to do what I loved to do on my birthday with my hunting partner Rem.20171217_105821.jpg The day started out terrible ,not well organised and you would have thought no one had ever hunted pheasants before.peolpe started going everywhere running to spots it was crazy. I managed to finally get one bird.7732.jpeg we ended with 3 hard day. But that's hunting. I did run in to PHIL AND JACK , it was nice they found my birthday Balloon. 7754.jpeg

Mark,

Happy belated 50th.....When I 1st read this thread, I thought maybe you had gotten a job with the border patrol....lol

ps.....Heard the hunt was a cluster*uck....Glad you & Remi got a few.

Happy birthday. I can’t think of a better way I’d like to spend a birthday.

My wife and I as well as my dad and our dog were at the San J hunt yesterday also. I thought it went really well. We all stood around a while but that’s par for all these hunts. They had good looking high flying active birds. Tom was a great host as always and the group of hunters We hunted around were safe and respectful. We got our six in about 1.5 hours. It took 2 passes since the wind was blowing and the fields were really high.
