R.I.P Charlie...

This is a true tragedy. All because an American man loved his country and decided to use his knowledge to help others wake up to the lies they have been told. He had the courage to stand up to the anti Americans and they murdered him for it. "Thank you, Charlie Kirk for showing the world what true American courage is!" They couldn't beat his facts and the truth with their lies and manipulations so they had to take away his ability to speak it.

Can't wait to see what attacks on 2A come from this. As Charlie said himself many times, there's a cost to freedom. Unfortunately this will flip Republicans against gun rights (remember Trump's bump stock ban and red flag laws in his first term?). I've already seen many posts calling for more restrictions to protect political figures from gun violence (as if they are more valuable than everyday Americans). Hope they catch the scumbag who did this, Charlie's family didn't deserve to lose him.

This could be a factor of my age, I'm 36, but this seems FAR more impactful than the Trump attempt. I am curious what you all are feeling/seeing?
The outpouring of emotion does seem greater. Reasons could be many. The way Trump got up victoriously and yelled FIGHT vs. Charlie taking a direct hit and (likely) dying instantly. A battle worn old man vs. a young father. A wealthy tycoon vs a self-taught intellectual. A bombastic personality vs a young man who seemed to have one mission, which was to have open dialogue in the most hostile places possible (university campuses).

Yeah, I think you're right. "What could have been." Likely a future president.

Know that most school age kids have seen the unedited video. Graphic. If you have kids, you should talk with them about what they've seen. I had a great conversation with my two high schoolers about charlie, his legacy. What he stood for. Etc.

That video was brutal. I was praying for his recovery but after I saw the video I knew instantly he was gone.

Some might not agree; but I’m praying for this young man who supposedly took Charlie Kirk’s life. Obviously a very confused/irrational individual to think and act on taking a life for no reason other than he didn’t like what Charlie had to say. Like you I am sickened by this despicable act !
I am praying for his parents and siblings too ! They are going to have a rough road in the future.
Over my lifetime I have been around people and listened to others, Hillary and Bill, AOC, Schiff, Nadler, friends, acquaintances etc… come to mind, I couldn’t stand for one reason or another, but would never wish them harm or death !
I’m a firm believer in forgiveness; believe me I have done many things to be forgiven for ! This one is just really hard to swallow !
My first and continuing thought is “Lord Jesus Come !” , and the line from that song “We need you right now !”
I know that may sound stupid to some but the older I get and I see how many people treat each other like crap it’s heartbreaking !
I remember as a kid when something happened like this our Mom would take it deeply to heart as if it were one of her own. I didn’t get it then but I get it now !
I think Charlie’s death will have a bigger affect on American society than Trump being shot or the killings of JFK/ Martin Luther King ! Even many of those who disliked his message gave him respect for going on these campuses in the hot beds of radical left theology/ideology.
I will continue to pray for Charlie’s wife, kids, family, and friends !
More importantly for a revival in this country like never seen before.
May the Lord watch over you all and may He bless America with His Grace, Love and Peace !

How many times does this have to happen?

The shooter, a stupid kid, apparently well-raised, pursuing an education, from a stable family with a father who is in law enforcement. Imagine that.
How does this kid go as far as to assassinate anyone?
At the age of 22, he had no significant life experience. Is hard to imagine he had a well-formed political view, yet he was full of hate.

At age 22 I was working, studying, and chasing girls with no care in the world about politics. When did politics infiltrate the lives of young men ?

IMO any political or religious Activist who goes around to talk to young adults about their ideology should not be welcome in schools.
Let the kids make their choice and seek those activists outside of the school if they want to. Young adults ages 20-25 based on scientific studies, are still developing the ability to execute critical thinking and are still mentally maturing. They might not be idiots but they are impressionable.

I believe that if this kid goes to the electric chair because of what he did, the shooting problem will not go away.
Punish, intimidate, kill, and destroy is just going to make matters worse.
