Apparently my scouting paid off! Spent a lot of days hunting bunnies while looking for quail over the last month or two and only managed to find two places that had a decent amount of birds. Was so excited to find some I even snapped a shitty phone picture. Came back 2 weeks later and managed to get this guy ~200m from where I took the picture. Plenty of birds, but I only managed to get a hand full of shots off, and only the one connected. First quail hunt, first quail. That goes in the W column for me, haha.
