Good times at the San Jacinto family pheasant hunt today. My boy got his first pheasant. Not a lot of birds but we got lucky and had a volunteer that ran his dog for us and pointed out this rooster in front of us. I set my boy up and told him get ready and when he flies gettem. I was ready for the follow up shot and when the rooster flew I aimed at it gave it a second thinking oh no it’s getting to far then he shot and I shot right after but as I pulled the trigger I just seen feathers and it dropped. Proud dad moment with my favorite hunting partner.
