Single pin bow sight

That makes a lot of sense. One pin would be so much easier. Hell I've even gone to the top pin when I meant to go to the bottom one.
I like it !

I like it, but what if the animal moves...Do you drop the bow and reassess?...Still see some guess work here....Ed F?
Steve my best guess it's better than splitting pins. However can one range and adjust it fast enough...
I think it's worth a try...

ive been thinking of switching over but im not convinced yet. if the animal moves its a guessing game. but if your in a stand or blind this works. i do to much small game and predator hunting to dedraw and mess with my sights.

most important thing to think about is application. i think HHA makes models that have a dot below the single pin

I do to think it would be easier in a deer stand. My abilities is probably 40 yards max. 50 60 yards I would not feel comfortable.
Since my chasing deer up high mountains is coming to a near end.
Switching back to deer stand in off days. Take avantage of being retired.

I found this one a couple of weeks ago. It is called the EZ V Sight. This video is some random dude..which tells you the review is unbiased. I looked at their website ans watch other videos..if I was not such a newbie I would buy one to try. What I like is that you do not need a range finder. I am not sure what the effective range might be though. Let me know what you think.

Seems not smart to me. With multiple pins, if the game moves you have a much better chance of being able to quickly figure out which pins to hold it on or in-between. I have learned to repeat to myself what distanced all the pins are for... then repeating to myself what all the betweens are.

Great for targets... not so great for animals that move... IMO. I have a 3 pin slider on one of my bows, haven't killed anything past my fixed 40 yard pin. To each their own... Ed F

Matt I started out instinctive shooting. I can hit targets all day long it's a little harder when you have to hit something moving

The deer where I hunt are very skittish and it's hard to get within range and there's a lot of factors involved with the Terrain.

Here is my thoughts.
In a tree stand or blind it's very easy to range objects near by. Thus giving you distances to go by.
Stalking on the other hand it's a lot tougher. If stalking most of the time deer will bust you. You have a couple seconds because they are very wary of hunters due to the pressure.
Sometimes not even time to range them.

Wild game I seen this sight before.
But have never tried it.
It seems to work.

Isn't it interesting how you playback the memories of certain situations you were faced with over and over again?

On my first bow buck. That much nicer one the day before... on what would be the 3rd opportunity... he turned in to come check out what I was that was shooting at him. And almost just as quickly turned back around and then looked back over his shoulder... so it would have been a "Texas Heart Shot". I hadn't yet had the opportunity to take out the 3rd arrow from the quiver, and froze when he turned back in at me like that.

Was thinking the other day "Damn it! I shoulda tried for the "Texas Heart Shot" on that mofo!". Thinking that at such close distance (he was like maybe 7yds away) it totally would have gone all the way thru him.

But hey.. I'm a n00b and everything said you don't try to take that shot. So I just tried to hold the freeze and hope he might relax and give me an opportunity. Oh well. I know better for next time now. :)
