Think I might quit turkey

Well, I made it out one last for turkey here in southern Utah...So went to the canyon where I missed my bird early this season...Got set up and heard couple of gobbles...Gave a couple calls and got a response...Saw four turkeys on private property...Then heard another gobble and it was getting closer...Gave a couple of calls and the gobbler was right there...So I got ready to shoot...There he was gobbling and strutting about 40 yds away...He didn't come any closer to me...So I took the shot...I thought I hit the bird when it started flopping on ground...Then it jumps up and it started to run...I shot right when it got up to fly and another missed bird...I think this canyon does not like me or I am Cursed there....Will call my season a success

Damn, Richard....40 yds is a perfect range with those loads....Hang with them buddy.

ps....Did you follow that bird?....He was obviously hit....And many times they'll move/fly off and die.

Same deal happened to me except with a bow dead on hit, bird flew away and disappeared ugggg.

Yes it went in on the private property I hop to the fence and and look did not find it

That dang turkey will be fine....It has 9 friggin' lives....You've only extended 3 of them......lol

Yes I have pattern my gun I am going do lots pattern this summer to figure out I am doing wrong .
