Tuff quail hunting

Daughter & nephew were down for Thanksgiving, they wanted to go chase some quail. Found a couple of small covers only managed one bird. Man those little birds are fast and tricky, holding tight then busting the opposite direction behind you. Did pickup a forky shed and a screw in choke for anyone that may have lost one.20181126_164208.jpg20181126_163944.jpg
 
At least you guys got one. Tough season, most coveys I've found are very small. I almost feel bad even killing any this season.
 
That type of hilltop in the background looks very familiar. As well as the Uber thickness of the chaparral. D15 CNF in the I.E.?
 
PS, forkie sheds make a really neat tool for re-orienting wood in the fireplace :)
