Virus tied to the Election ?

We know for a fact the the virus came from China. It was made in their lab and the virus escaped. We do not know if it was accidental or intentional. There is evidence for both scenarios. We know the Chinese tried to cover it up and by doing so allowed it to spread world wide and become a pandemic. If it was intentional it could have been for a number of reasons and probably the most likely is to negatively effect world economies especially the US. It’s certainly done that.
Now the Democrats are using the virus pandemic to keep our economy suppressed and in the toilet. They think if the economy is in the tank it will negate Trumps biggest achievement - the best economy in a hundred years. They think a grossly depressed economy will get them the White House. They will do anything no matter how criminal or immoral for power, to get the senile old decrepit man sleepy Joe into the presidency. Sleepy Joe will be nothing more than a figure head, a pawn controlled by the socialist democrat elite.

You gotta also figure that China would rather have a weak Biden in office than Trump, who's been relentless in keeping the pressure on them. So it makes sense in the conspiracy theory realm for China to have designed and released this virus to create chaos right before the election.

You missed the point. No one is saying this was a plot by China to take down Trump. We know the virus came from China. Whether it was intentionally released or accidentally we dont know . But once it was out it appears it was intentionally spread out of China. China disallowed all travel out of Wuhan to any part of China. However people from the Wuhan area were allowed to travel out of China to any place in the world they wanted to go. If the pandemic was spread intentionally the most likely reason was to negitively affect world economies. They certainly did that. Not allowing these people to travel any place within China but allowing them to travel any other place in the world they wanted certainly makes it appear the spread was intentional.
When government in the US started closing down businesses and the country I believe it was at first done with good intentions to protect society. They crashed our economy although that was not the original goal. Trumps Achilles heel as far as re election is the great economy he built. The democrat elites are not stupid. After the economy tanked they saw that by keeping the economy depressed and tanked may be the winning strategy to win back the white house. So the powerful dem elites continue to shut down cities, counties, states and the country knowing it may be what allows them to beat Trump. I’m pretty sure after the election all this shutdown crap mostly by dem politicians will disappear.

I thought i might make a few observations. First, I'm not a Democrat, but I usually vote for that party, but not always. I didn't, for example, vote for Hillary.

I think @WaterDog is probably right. It seems likely that the virus was man made in China, but I don't think we know that conclusively. There is such rapid evolution and recombination within corona viruses that it could have evolved, but if I were betting I would bet yes.

The problem with the idea that the virus was dispatched for the US election is that it is wreaking havoc all over the world. Sweden and the UK both responded to the virus in a very similar manner (behavior not strategy) as the US. The response is also politicized in those countries just like it is in the US.

I think America's problem is we are so polarized that whatever happens is viewed through the lens of politics. I think that reponse on both the left and the right is counterproductive, but here we are. So all Republicans are stupid racist luddites, and all Democrats are stupid traitorous commies. Normally, i'm not too concerned about the left/right mutual disdain. However, I'm starting to worry about China a lot.

I worked overseas in Asia many years, and the Chinese are organized, disciplined, and relentless. There is no question in my mind they are working to identify and exploit our internal divisions. And as we can attest on this board...our differences are legion.

I think most realize that the virus if intentional was not released only to hurt America. It was apparently dispersed world wide intentionally since world wide travel from Wuhan was not restricted but was within China. I think it was economic but there may be other reasons also.

I'll give them credit for being prepared. They had gas masks, helmets, shields, leaf blowers, and even had somebody play the imperial march when the police came. The majority of all that tear gas looked like it was more on the police then anybody else. Neither that or the pepper spray pellets looked to do much of anything.
