covid struck my household (and many of my friends) the week before thanksgiving. I was lucky that my only symptom was a tight chest and after dealing with it for a few days, I decided to take wilderness athlete altitude advantage.

It seriously helped, by next day chest tightness was gone.

As a side note, it is strange how we all had various symptoms. Some just had headaches, some actually lost taste / smell, some were achy, and one of the 20 of us that got it had to go to the hospital (very low o2). Most people had a combo of the symptoms. however for the most part, most of us would take covid over the flu anytime  . Not trying to belittle those who it is very serious with, but it is just bewildering how it is so vastly different person to person and so beignet to many of us.

Yep, a friend of mine who is about 47 yrs old thought he had a strong case of the Flu for about 10 days back in May. He tested positive, quarantined and then it was done. Theres just no telling, but obviously younger healthy folks with no pre-existing conditions fare better.

Exactly, my buddy who did end up in the hospital was over 40, overweight, and has some blood circulations issues before getting it.

I had it when I got back from Montana...The guy I drove up with got it, his wife got it, and one other friend got it from them...My renter got it from me and his girlfriend got it.

At 72, my family was concerned about me (3 stints & pre diabetic)...Within about 14 days it was gone...102.1 was my highest temp, lost taste & smell, coughed a lot, and was pretty aching.

Nobody else had any issues and they were done with it in about 10 days.

ps...It was not nearly as bad as the flu.

unless it kills you..

Wife..myself and sweetpea had it...confirmed thru testing and sickness...light work for us...boys never got it...Tigers blood...

I’ve got it right now (tested positive Monday but probably had it since the prior Thursday). I’ll agree it’s not as bad as the flu. But there is something about my exhaled breath that just seems rotten (warm and wet). Glad it went easy on me. I’ll be better by Saturday and then quarantining for another week after.

I think I’m getting over it. I didn’t get tested for the reason mentioned above, but I lost taste and smell, had a minor fever, and no energy. If I did feel good enough to do anything, it didn’t last long. Still got a little bit of a cough. My wife, mother, and mother in law all had this same thing. I’ve definitely fought off worse! FWIW, I’m over 40, over weight, and I still smoke. I was told I would die for sure if I got it.
