Had an open invitation to do some duck and goose hunting with a friend who let my daughter hunt Turkey's in the spring on his property. Snow goose season had just opened on Tuesday and we decided to shoot some ducks and hopefully find some geese.

We set up on a creek on his friend's place that is next to a hunting club with flooded corn fields well the birds weren't coming in but I managed to shoot a hen and a drake mallard and my buddy got a nice wood duck. Birds stopped flying so we drove around an jump shot some out of some dirches. I got 2 more and we ended up with a total of 10 ducks.

We followed the sounds of thousands of snow geese and found them on some cut corn fields. We drove around it and just so happened to run into the owner who was on his tractor working the field where they were landing in. My buddy went and talked to him and he said we were welcome to shoot as many as we could. We made a short sneak and let out a hail of gun fire.

Managed 30 snows between the 3 of us..it was an incredible sight to see them flying all around and man they make a loud thud when they fall from the sky and hit the ground. The flock was maybe around 10k or so but later in the season they can be as big as 100k.

It was a great day.
