Inactive Forums?

I learned how to hunt D14 via Jesses. Didn't post a lot because I had no idea what I was doing but it helped. That was like 10+ years ago or so.

I remember someone getting caught for poaching by posting a pic on that forum at some point, pretty sure that was around the point when i stopped paying attention. Guys were at each others throats.

Do you remember what it was he poached? I seem to remember one (although this might not be the same one you're thinking of) were a guy posted that he'd caught a steelhead in some river that was closed to fishing. He didn't name the river but he posted a picture of him holding the fish in the thread. A few days later a warden posted a picture of himself acting like he was holding the fish and it was obvious, by the background, it was the same exact location. He had already cited the guy when he posted the picture.

I'll date my myself. Who remembers the old DFG forum? Hell I think we connected via modem's back then and when everyone had an AOL account. :p I was on there before Jesse's. Never got banned from Jesse's, but haven't been back in awhile. The best forum is sitting around the campfire after a hunt anyway.

Didn't he post a rabbit pic and say it was a jack?....As I recall, a few boys got the ax after telling him it was a c-tail out of season.

TOF was created because we had all been kicked off of J's.... :joy:

Jessie's used to have huge issues with being unsafe regarding virus etc. I have had an account over there for years.

And the cost to get a forum up and running and maintained is way-way more than you think. Way more...

I think I'm still banned from JHO... for just being myself surprisingly. If Larry is over there I'm gonna create a new account and have some fun... Ed F

Larry is still on the rok, today he was telling everyone how incredible the 15's vultures are and that there is no way that the new diamondback 15's were better then the vultures...that you can tell based on their weight...

It was deer in D14, taken on private property...owner of the property was on the forum as well. At least that is what I recall.

Jho the good ol days

I did a private por once and Jeff James was there.......wow

And now TOF is sliding off into the sunset
Yup...seems to be. TOF has been down almost as much as it's up lately. It's been off-line for the last two days now. Maybe not totally the right word but it seems to have been creeping towards elitism lately. Unless you have a pigzilla, a 3x3+, or near a full limit of ducks using 10 or fewer rounds don't bother posting.

I used to read your posts SteveHazard on the Upland forum of Jesses back in the day.
