Guys ,

What a season I had with my new dog Goose. I started the season not hunting at all due to deer tags needing to be filled, end of D15 and my AZ whitie hunt i was pretty much free to get after the quail on my free time.

I got goose in early March of 2025 and she’s was a 8 week old baby that would chase her sister pig around like crazy as she was growing up.

Fast forward to 4 months and I had her up at High on Kennels with Roth Wiess for bird and gun intro. Worked on basic home manners extensively and hammered recall, did intro to E caller work via YouTube from various well known versatile dog trainers and relied heavily on my friends that made in my NAVHDA Inland empire chapter.

I worked pigeons out of launchers to develop the point and guys iv learned a ton, lots of frustration mixed with a ton of highs.

Versatile dogs were new to me and it is an amazing journey to be on. Goose is 13 months now and there is a night and day difference between the start of the season to now. This dog has had a ton of wild bird exposure between gambles out side of Phenix AZ, Valley Quail locally along with the big dog’s , Mountain quail and I am proud of that.

I can say that if I can watch the dog work and we are cutting the wind, if she comes across coveys or singles this dog will slam point and I can reinforce the staunchness we all desire. She is steady to the release to flush, it was a season of growth for the pup and I. An awesome season that was had, I wish I’d have taken more pics but to be honest guys, A lot of the hunts are in my mind and I’ll remember them for the rest of my life.

This off season I’ll be training quite a bit. I’ll be working with my NAVHDA chapter along with the friends I have made. 2852800403686955423.jpeg7807397325771478006.jpeg6670884130589495369.jpegIMG_1043.jpegIMG_1109.jpegIMG_1230.jpegIMG_1848.jpegIMG_1947.jpegIMG_3364.jpegIMG_2108.pngIMG_2235.jpegIMG_2449.jpegIMG_5091.jpegIMG_2812.jpeg
