Sometimes living in Ramona can be really cool. I heard some "noise" out back and sure enough there are at least 10 turkeys hanging out in my back yard. But I can't help but wonder, could I invite one to dinner from my own back yard or are there still rules that I am just not seeing?

Yes I live in the Estates and I had heard similar things about how tough deer can be. I checked out my car more when I got home and it seems like it bounced all the way down the passenger side. There are scratches all the way down and the rear passenger door has a good sized dent in it. And...

I used to hunt them years ago with my single shot 12 gauge and my buddies .22. I cleaned em but turned them over to my buddy for prep for the grill. But now I think I am going to try to get out there with my bow. If there is an outing planned I would be all for joining in on the carnage.

I have seen 3 or 4 good size toms the last couple of weekends and probably 20 to 30 hens [and probably some jakes] but they have all been on private land. I have seen some tracks, but small ones on some of the trails I have been using but no sign of turkeys in area where I could shoot em.
