Well I read both articles and didn't see anywhere B&C were bagging on long distance hunting. the only thing I read is B&Cs layout to fair chase. If you read who wrote the article in F&S mag it was David Petzal. There is a lot of interest in long range shooting, I my self am getting in to it...
my thoughts exactly.... are you just going to bang steel, poke holes in paper, or hunt with it?
What bullets are you looking to shoot?
what brass you using? etc. etc.
a crisp clear photo would help a lot first of all, the marks look to be just below the shoulder, so to me it looks like you have some garbage down in the chamber you should clean it very well.
That will never happen the People of CA are in love with the thought of the mtn lion but know nothing else about them in general they just know they are Beautiful.
Sick or not, they are morons and have no clue about proper wildlife management. Thus the Lion over population problem and such. Besides do you think the DFW would admit to ODing an animal?....... I think not.
Quote "it's not common, but there is an inherent risk anytime you immobilize a wild animal" end quote. Bullshit there is an inherent risk of killing a wild animal if you OD it on tranquilizers when the morons using them don't know what the hell there doing. These morons don't have a clue about...
So the 90 bucks you spent including the PP you bought, just how many PP will you get? say you dont draw any(yeh right)will you get one for each hunt?
BTW: the Henrys are legendary
and the Book Cliffs are on my bucket list guess I should start applying.
If I am correct on this the .223/5.56 was and is a Rifle cartridge from initial development, I don't think it was ever intended as a handgun cartridge just need to confirm. Does anybody know who designed the round? Where does this end ? before you know it they will be banning the .458 Lott...
