Lake Diaz and Convict Lake fly fishing

Ha. Ive never been, so no real reason other than drive time for me. We usually go up to tahoe once a year and hit up different spots just to see new stuff. This go around though, we are leaving late, stopping to visit some friends in ridgecrest, and probably arriving later in the evening. So...

Lake Diaz and Convict Lake fly fishing

Later this summer my family and I are doing a road trip up to tahoe. Going to stop at lake diaz and convict lake on the way up and one on the way back. Spending 3 days at each. I learned how to fly fish in the late 90s in utah and did it for 3-4 years off and on. Lost everything fly fishing...

Escondido fish and game association question

wow 2-3 year wait!! Guess I might just hang out at Rainbow to shoot and head over to escondido for the events.....and get on that waiting list in the meantime. Rainbow from what I hear is pretty much just a range. Not as much activity as escondido, but I guess if most of their events are open...

Escondido fish and game association question

Is anyone here a current member? I think Im going to join and range to get out and shoot a little more. Im in temecula and Rainbow range is closer but escondido fish and game seems to have more going on every month, as well as events geared to kids and women. I see their events are open to...

    Hunting/Scouting vehicles

cool looking rigs. I just put a leveling kit on my 13 f150 yesterday. Mostly a tow rig, but it should see a bit more dirt this year. When I dont have a ton of time to go scouting around trails to see how beat up they are in the truck, I hop on the bike to check things out.

    Hunting/Scouting vehicles

What is everyone driving around in the back country? Ive been doing a lot of trail/area scouting around on a V-strom 650 adv bike. Where I google earth an area that looks questionable for vehicle access due to terrain or trail conditions, I usually get out there first on the V-strom to check...

I want to begin Reloading. Which is a Good Kit to buy?

I think most of the bullet manufacturers have load data online. Or order one of the big data books. Even the reloading magazine has a lot of good data. I've seen the magazine at Walmart before. I have noticed load characteristics for copper vs lead rounds is significantly different and...

AR15 that's Featureless, can I get back my Mag-Drop button now? Rather than this Bullet-Button crap?

If you bought it featureless, I think the screw that holds the bullet button/mag retention device was supposed to be tamper proof or peened over. I think the only way to remove it is to drill it out. I bought mine as a striped lower, so I added the bullet button, then the mag lock contraption...

AR15 that's Featureless, can I get back my Mag-Drop button now? Rather than this Bullet-Button crap?

I just got done dropping all my evil parts to go featureless to get my mag release back. totally worth it to me. I got to go to shot show this year and play with all the geissele triggers, cant go wrong with any of them. all super crisp!!! just find one that fits your budget.

    riverside county shooting map

I think if you obey the rules of the area you are hunting in you would be ok. I think all the Cleveland national forest within riverside county falls in that yellow area, but the CNF website says active hunting is allowed.

    San Felipe WA turkey

I saw a post a few years back, which seems to be the most recent, and it said drought hit this population hard, wonder if it pushed them to other areas. Still turkey out here?

I want to begin Reloading. Which is a Good Kit to buy?

You can set it and forget it if you want. But even within the same caliber, different loads will have different bullet depths with different overall lengths. So you still may have to tweek each time you load.

I want to begin Reloading. Which is a Good Kit to buy?

ah yes, havent got that far yet. I was given a bag of a 1000 223 and 1000 40 cal brass that was all cleaned, sized, and trimmed. Still working on those bags. Im pretty sure the kit gave me a hand held trimmer and a drill adapter for the case holder. I think that is the standard basic trimmer...

I want to begin Reloading. Which is a Good Kit to buy?

did you end up getting a kit yet? I got the Lee classic turret kit and it seems pretty legit. Im also just getting started into this stuff. Ive only done 223 and 40sw and it has been a lot easier than I made it out to be. The kit came with everything, only extras I bought was a double disc...
