I'm in N. County... have no where near the experience a lot of these guys do, but am usually down to go hunt any day of any weekend.

Someone please reassure me that we can hunt other places than those marked fields... I've always just found a spot that I see birds away from paved roads and power lines and not marked private... am I no longer allowed to do this?

I've done the rattlesnake avoidance training, but I always end up stumbling on snakes and I'm moving way slower and not sniffing around like my dog... still always a concern of mine. I really appreciate the info and input guys. This forum is awesome for guys like me.
