Yup seems to be a common thing mine this year had them in there as well..
I de boned all my meat and check for sings of any lesions and such, nothing any where so been enjoying my meat :)
if bot flies begin coming out of my nose later on this year, oh well i will just chuck it up to the price...
as Sdbirds mentioned u don't really need a dog for quail but depending on how Bushy the area is u will loose quite a few if they don't hit the ground dead..
I don't have a dog either and tend to do alright without it, except for this past year which was just the worst i seen for quail hunting...
Just so u know Google maps aren't usually up to date.. most of them will be a bit old to use when it comes to looking for water in this drought stricken place we call California. best of luck.
Damn i had only spotted the very obvious Buck right in the middle of the picture and the two does on the left side of the screen.. I can't believe, i didn't see the buck laying side ways right in front of the big obvious one.. Oh well LoL

LoL i like the last part hahaha..
I was helping a buddiy of mine hunt and he shot a forky then we realized he lost his pen..
We used a bullet to punch the holes in the tag then when we got back to the truck tossed it (the truck) till we found a freaking pen..
sure enough game warden showed...
