Grind to fit recoil pad in San Diego?

I have not, but I'll look into them as well. It's a blind screw recoil pad, so I figured I would tear it up trying to get the screws out. This Sako was made early-mid 80s based on the serial number, so no pre-garcia.

Grind to fit recoil pad in San Diego?

Hmm, I'd heard they took a bit of time for most work, but I guess I can call and find out if it's the same for stocks. I picked up a used synthetic stock for a Sako AV and the pad reeks of cigarettes, plus I'd like to put some spacers on as well.

Grind to fit recoil pad in San Diego?

Anyone have recommendations for a gunsmith in San Diego who can grind a recoil pad to fit a stock? Looking for one who won't take months to get the stock back. Thanks!

    News-Santee Lands Sportsman’s Warehouse

I swung by during lunch to check things out. No firearms in the racks and ammo cabinets were papered up to block the view. FFL still in progress I imagine. No powders either (unsurprising). Not as much selection as the Murrieta store, but I'm happy it's here regardless for another local option.

    Thunderstorm and thunderstorm

I saw a good amount of doves scouting in IV yesterday, but the vegetation is noticebly less compared to last year. Also saw a lot more white wings compared to last year, almost 50/50 with mournings.

First Time Hunting Deer in Southern California (D16)

Don't want to derail this thread, but just curious as to what member's personal observations are in regards to success in the, say, first seven days vs. the remainder of the season.

    Scouting Wister Pre-Season

With Dove season coming up soon, I'll be heading to Imperial County to scout for and hunt the opener. I was figuring, while I'm out there I might as well make use of the time and see how Wister is doing. I wanted to see if anyone had knowledge to share as to what to keep an eye out for. I...

    Land Corner Crossing

I figure the USFS should start fencing up our enclosed land as well, we'll see very quickly how acceptable corner crossing is.

    CA Application Day!

I believe your FIRST tag would need to be the one that would be appilcable to a drawing, i.e. the junior hunt. Your second tag should be one of the over the counter tags available. You can't submit for two seperate drawing-type tags. DFW updates the list of available OTC tags online as the year...
