I have not, but I'll look into them as well. It's a blind screw recoil pad, so I figured I would tear it up trying to get the screws out.
This Sako was made early-mid 80s based on the serial number, so no pre-garcia.
Hmm, I'd heard they took a bit of time for most work, but I guess I can call and find out if it's the same for stocks.
I picked up a used synthetic stock for a Sako AV and the pad reeks of cigarettes, plus I'd like to put some spacers on as well.
Anyone have recommendations for a gunsmith in San Diego who can grind a recoil pad to fit a stock? Looking for one who won't take months to get the stock back.
Thanks!

Hey all, hoping to pull off a move to Alaska in 3 months. Trying to bring absolutely nothing with me and re-buy later when I need it. I'll listen to offers for multiple items.
(Also have brand new spinners and decoy bag, and a quite a bit of NOS inflatables, that I will get pictures and update...
I swung by during lunch to check things out. No firearms in the racks and ammo cabinets were papered up to block the view. FFL still in progress I imagine. No powders either (unsurprising). Not as much selection as the Murrieta store, but I'm happy it's here regardless for another local option.
I saw a good amount of doves scouting in IV yesterday, but the vegetation is noticebly less compared to last year.
Also saw a lot more white wings compared to last year, almost 50/50 with mournings.
Don't want to derail this thread, but just curious as to what member's personal observations are in regards to success in the, say, first seven days vs. the remainder of the season.
With Dove season coming up soon, I'll be heading to Imperial County to scout for and hunt the opener. I was figuring, while I'm out there I might as well make use of the time and see how Wister is doing.
I wanted to see if anyone had knowledge to share as to what to keep an eye out for. I...
I have a non-personalized email from last year saying results were available, date June 11th. Can't recall if results were actually available online before that or not.
I believe your FIRST tag would need to be the one that would be appilcable to a drawing, i.e. the junior hunt. Your second tag should be one of the over the counter tags available. You can't submit for two seperate drawing-type tags.
