2018 California Big Game Regulations

This really put a wrench in my game plan for the year. I’ll probably just go D16 and buy a AO when I tag out...but that means no late season archery.

I’m really kinda thinking I may not put in for X9awith my 5 points because of the big die off I heard they had last season , not sure how much truth there is to that but it deffenently weighing on my decision.

Hunted x9a with @Sdbirds last year I would hunt it again in a heartbeat. You will draw with 5 points so don’t put in unless you want to hunt.

Can someone explain the significance of this if I'm a bow hunter? I have always just got OTC tags

I have zero points will it be impossible to draw an A22 tag?

If this is about the deer that slid on ice into a rock pile, while it was sad it was under 200 deer and won’t really have any effect on the hunt quality or deer herd. So I wouldn’t let that weight your choice.

Am I missing something? All D zones are OTC, correct? Someone said to me today that most tags Now are going to be drawing.... This is false right?
