Killer bow! How much did that set up cost?If you are just getting started a recurve with a AMS retriever is a good inexpensive start. It would be a fun setup and a good way to learn.
Or If your funds can do it you can get an Oneida Osprey set up with a Muzzy reel.View attachment 44003
Little over $900 for the complete set up.Killer bow! How much did that set up cost?
that makes sense! It pulls like a recurve. So you don’t have that cam rolling over into the valley.
Advantage of that is for some quick shots you don’t have time for a full draw.
You may only get partially through the draw and have to release on a fish.
I'll keep my eyes open for a second hand bow on CL, and the swapmeet. Is Henshaw open yet?Heather,
Brett at Willow Creek set me up...I just took an old bow that I got at a swap meet...Got new string and arrow...Have since up graded.
ps...Lake Henshaw is a great place to go.

I did this as a kid too! Have not tried cross bow on fish yet, sounds interesting. Do the small arrows go all the way through the fish, like a slip tip would?Gigging for bullfrogs was a blast with a long Hawaiian sling with flash light at the river.
See why not. Cross bows have a lot of force. But have to be careful since a safety factor.I did this as a kid too! Have not tried cross bow on fish yet, sounds interesting. Do the small arrows go all the way through the fish, like a slip tip would?
