Shoot safe dove shooters. Give a guy some space, pick up your trash and hulls, and don’t be that guy. It’s a dove.

Aw yes, the old Pink and Brownies...For us guys that hunted south it was Camacho's Mexican in the middle of nowhere...In Seely, it was La Pasadita...And who can pass up the Golden Corral..

The Calipat Inn is the biggest s-hole in the IV now. If you're hunting that general area I'd stay in Brawley or the 1 newer chain place in Westmorland which was very clean and had a safe parking lot last time I was there.

Our spot was Bruners for a couple decades. Right across the street from Burgers and Beer. My how that place has changed. Camachos Place is still the best I've had though. Remember Mt Signal Café? Ah, the good ol days.

Bruner's was great clean the birds wash the dog and hit the pool with a drink. Grandpa started me there many years ago.

My group of dove hunters just dropped by three. first call, Keith passed kidney stone last night, said it hurts like bitch, he's out. Next call, Laurie fell and broke her collar bone, needs surgery ASAP, bad break. On top of that, her husband John said he has had a bad case of vertigo for three days now and it's getting worst. I think either of their issues put a no go on dove hunting, but with both having problems, that was the kicker.

Just got email reminder from newer Best Western in Brawley. Headed down early Thursday morning to meet up with some friends. Going to shoot the opener and Friday, look around Wister for upcoming Duck season. Shoot Saturday morning and head home for the air conditioning !!

Sadly...I'm stuck shooting deer this weekend...but will be rooting for all dove shooters..and looking forward to the grip and grin money shots along with the tailgate shots..nothing like a good dove pic. Good luck to all the master blasters!!

You are already in the right place for some euros! This was last year at the pink. What a disaster that was… Monsoons knocked out the power and we didn’t have lights or AC until 10 PM on the night before opener… And forget about the pool. It wasn’t even a fit for breeding mosquitoes.
