SCH OUTDOORS

Elk calibers, rifle and stock, and scope

Out of curiosity, how is factory 7prc ammo inherently more accurate than any other factory offering? Accuracy comes down to tolerances and load consistency, manufacturers use the same machines to load their 7prc as they do all their other stuff...

I wasn't so much touching on the ammo itself (I know that was mentioned, I am unsure if that is true, maybe someone else knows?) but more so the cartridge design. Lack of belt, higher BC bullets, ect... that leads to a more likley outcome the bullet hits where you want it.

That said, I certainly wouldn't sell a 7mag to buy a 7prc as both are probably more accurate then me in the field anyways. Likely does not matter at 400 yards and in either.

I want a break or suppressor.
No need for a brake, go suppressed!!! You’ll never want to shoot without it. I run suppressed on all my rifles. A couple of very popular small and lightweight cans that work well with hunting setups are the Banish Backcountry and the Dead Air Nomad. If you think you might end up running suppressed, just make sure to get a rifle with a threaded barrel. And maybe consider a shorter barrel version in that 20-22” range. You must live in a free state.
