First Ca quail hunt in the books!! I’ve been walking all around the Aguanga/chihuahua valley area for months for D16 deer and see so many quail every time. Went a little further south and got into some big coveys today like 30-50 thick. Walked about 8 miles in and back and all said and done it’s about a mile a bird Haha. My buddy was one off from limit and I walked out with 6! Be a nice little cook up later!20E626C3-7597-42EB-8669-98C3EE68BD86.jpeg88445DBC-9077-4802-8A9B-03E31324B864.jpeg

Congratulations, a quail a mile, that’s some work. Well done.

That's actually pretty good. If you turn on a GPS track it's pretty easy to rack up the miles walking in circles after them.
Yea the iPhones auto track all that stuff. There were enough quail to limit out on for sure but gotta work for it

Great job, and without a dog to boot I am guessing?
My old dog would have been nice to have. Spent a good 15 minutes looking for a lot of those birds. First year shooting bismuth out the 16 gauge but seemed to put them down pretty good. 5 shot.
