Nothing better than this time of year in the imperial Valley! Started the solo hunt at about 10:30 AM on Friday morning. Walked for miles and miles and miles in the wind. Managed a limit of doves, four quail and shot a Mallard over the decoys near Sunset. Was joined by a couple of buddies and hunted Wister out of the sweat line on Saturday morning. Managed a spoon and a gadwall for an hours worth of effort. It was slow all around on the south end… Decided to call it and head out for some Upland action. Again, lots of walking, but only a light breeze. Just shy of three man limits on doves added a couple of quail and two bonus pheasants! Can’t wait to get out there again! God bless, Mark
