Going to be interesting to see how these Tariffs play out… all the stuff made is “China” bout to get real expensive

I'm not going to take any stance on politics with this post and just note my personal observations- NBK and I were talking awhile back about how products for the outdoors were made in the 80's and 90"s and what we see now. The vast majority of what he and I purchased back in those days was made in the USA and is still in use and serviceable as opposed to now. I think that offshore manufacturing brought the quality of those products down notably. I hope that once the USA survives this turmoil (and we will) that we will see a resurgence in quailty of American made products in every market.

I am not sure we can outlast the turmoil. The Rino's are already starting to cave. And every damn liberal is filing multiple lawsuits and the damn judges are trying to inject themselves into where they don't belong. Unless there is a united front everything stops. People don't understand how the US has been screwed over with tariffs and all the manufacturing gone

What Trump is doing is right out of Steve Bannon's play book, create chaos and turmoil and let the opposition try to sort it out and keep up with what Trump is doing. They opposition has so much on their hands right with the executive orders that have been issued that they will not be able to stop it all.

What!...Chaos and turmoil is right out of the liberal/marxist handbook...Rules for Radicals...With The Communist Manifesto (Marx) not far behind.....:angery:

Once again I am not going to express my political support as I do not discuss politics online. Steve, With all due respect take a look at Steve Bannon's agenda and how this all came to be. If you haven't read the art of war by Sun Tzu it is ancient mainfesto of how to defeat an enemy. Bannon and Trump are right in line with how to do this that Sun Tzu prescribed. You fight fire with fire and pick the battles that produce the best results to acheive your goals. From my obseservations and comparing tactics that is what is going on. Sometimes a warrior has to approach the challenge in a way that the opposition does not expect or know how to use the right tactics to defeat. My suggestion is that everyone stay calm and sit back and watch what happens and don't get too excited while this all plays out....

Being a former bartender, I officially announce my candidacy for president of these United States....I LOVE SPRIG, 2028...............:joy:

And with the current trend, you will be worth $29,000,000 within a 6 year span. Go Stevo!

2 names you ned to know : Stephen Miran and Scott Bessent. They are the ones chewing on Trump's ear about the Tarriffs. Those 2 are actually pretty smart.

For any Maga supporter who hate anyone other than Maga supporters, you should know that Mr. Scott Bessent worked hand in hand with your most loved left-wing financier "George Soros" but now he advises Trump on US Economics...go figures..lol.

In the traditional sense, I guess the idea is that the tariffs on the rest of the world will eventually induce US-based manufacturing.

I think in the 70s is when US started to experience "Deindustrialization"...buying more imports and making fewer products in the US ...Then, Reagan became president and started the Neoliberalism movement in economics....more trade, fewer regulations, more money. That made a lot of people wealthy but it hurt the US worker and production over time even more.... just in case Trump or you are looking for someone to blame..it wasn't Obama, Hillary or AOC...lol...it was more like Nixon, Ford, Carter and Reagan.

The Tariff approach to restore US manufacturing would take a looooong time IMO.
Trump's shortcut to get this done sooner is probably to use Tariffs worldwide as a bargaining chip. The problem is he is pissing on too many friendlies.

The Senator RINOS as you call them, are correct! No way, no how you should let the POTUS impose a tax like tariffs without going through the Senate. Unless it's a "national emergency" ...remember the Fentanyl coming from Canada? Yup.."Emergency"...of course now is well known the US actually moves more Fentanyl into Canada than Canada into the US...oops. Immigration? yup another Emergency....When Biden tried to forgive $10,000 in student debt, the Senate told him no sir we do not approve...lol. Like it or not, the Senate is there for a reason that is how the American system work.

In the meantime, groceries have yet to go down..not even eggs, nor has he ended the war in Ukraine, which he said would do from day one and the markets are getting crushed...BUT we have the Gulf of America..good lord.

I thought about it..but watching the championship game ..it's a good one 16ers!!

So, you're saying you voted for Kamala and democrats...Same folks that got us into this mess...PLUS, anti gun, anti hunting, climate change nuts, radical leftist (commies), free everything for illegals, while vets live on the streets, open borders, animal rights lunes, men competing against girls, just to name a few of the things that are ruining this country and the American life style...I'll take my chances with TRUMP....
