Being charged sure does raise the heart rate...though I do not know if the last thing I want to smell is a boar or bear.

If OP doesnt think he could do it with a bow than no one could... most likely a rifle hunter.

He said his guide put that in his head... sheep guides don't want to waste time on bowhunters... especially if he has 5 tags to fill. Easier is not always better... to each his own. Ed F

Over 50 years, over 120 bow kills, 13 in the book. That was my 1st goal, guide said nfw. So walk the whites@13k and tell me how you kill a ram on the moon.

It sounds like the outfittter was being a hater. He just doenst want his success rate to be in jeopardy.
We think you can do it. When you go back up take your bow.

It's mindset... if you think you can't do it... you can't. Sheep, mountain goats, mule deer... are killed all the time on the moon with a bow. To each their own... your hunt, nobody elses. You don't have to justify to anyone else if you're convinced that you can't do it... just don't try to convince others that it's impossible. Your mindset to limit your shot to 300 is the same as someone limiting their shot to 60. Mindset is the answer to your question. Ed F

I would find a new guide or DIY. Guide pulled the plug on ya after 2 hours on day one. Rainstorm Hillary didn't last the entire scheduled hunt.
