I have a 9 year old lab, never too late to train right?so do you guys call a lab in when you need a bird picked up? asking for a friend
My wife says she’s allergic to dogs. I’m getting one when I retire next year. I had labs before but looking at German Wirehair or something similar that isn’t necessarily “hypoallergenic “

HunterMcBuckKiller - Second NBK's recommendation. NAVHDA is a great volunteer training group and the San Diego chapter in particular is very strong. Very experienced folks willing to help those new to training a gun dog.

We have a chapter about 45 minutes away from here in central-ish Oregon. I do like the idea of meeting like-minded people to get out in the field with.

Hard to get any videos of Mav since i am helping/getting trained as well but this dude is doing great!!! Hell of a nose on him. He will take his first hunt in mid October. Now if we can get this PNW heat to calm we will be set!
