Fun fact for you all.. had the Rona 1 year ago...I got vaccinated 3.5 months ago...I came down with the Delta (confirmed) last Friday...I'm flatbacked sick as fuck as I type..I can promise you dudes one thing ..the Rona is real..may not get ya..but it's out there...

And the Rona feels nothing like influenza...I can now have a honest take on this shit. .nobody's gotta be a sheep...as I've got it both ways now...free will is why we are who we are...that is all..( shit better clear up by the opener or I'll be facetiming the knuckleheads...the thought of that is horrifying..)

Damn Hatch, kick the crap out of the rona. Mama taking good care of you or has she said, F this you are on your own big boy. Really take care, SCH needs you buddy.

Thanks brother...this second go round is a bitch..shots and all..so I guess my point is..shots or no shots.. the Rona can find away..and yep..she pretty much throws bread and bottle waters up stairs to me when I moan loud enough... quarantine is driving me nuts..day 6... really no change..taking it day by day..been online way to much..

In my opinion if the vaccine works why are they pushing mask again, I know break through cases. It seems to me there are a lot of break through cases for a
vaccine that's suppose to work so damn good. Sorry folks, the vaccine is a bunch of BS and now all the so called experts know it so it's back to the mask which are also useless. Rona virus is so small it can only been seen under election microscopes and they want me to believe a silly mask will contain it.

I have a friend, well, a person I know who is a real believer in mask, but, he's ugly so it's a good thing. Sorry off track there. I told him , if it were possible to hold one little corona (not the beer) in your fingers, in a vacuum chamber and drop it, it would fall right through that silly mask you wear like salt through chicken wire.

I'm going to chime in and it will cost me some of my forum friends and put others to sleep, I'm sure. So be it. First, masks are very effective at blocking large bodies such as bacteria, fungi, and spores. If viral bodies were transmitted as discreet, individual units, masks would be totally ineffective. But that's not how it works. Viral bodies are transmitted en masse via water and mucous droplets [or blood, in some cases], as from a sneeze or breathing hard, or even breathing normally. They can't survive all by themselves in a dry environment. They need a damp "cocoon" in order to travel thru the air. Masks are extremely effective at blocking these relatively large droplets.

I spent almost an hour the other day with a friend from Scripps Hospital who specializes in infectious disease. Here are the basic facts about the Delta variant as of yesterday, straight from the mouth of a specialist:

Because of the efficacy of the vaccine [the two-dose types], only 1 in 5 of the positive tests are from fully vaccinated people and the great majority of these people are asymptomatic. Slightly less than 1 in 100 people hospitalized have been fully vaccinated. 99 out of 100 people hospitalized are unvaccinated. This is may be the most effective vaccine in world history.

Fully vaccinated people who carry the Delta variant but are asymptomatic are almost as capable of transmitting it to unvaccinated people as are unvaccinated people who carry the Delta variant. So if you are vaccinated but exposed to the virus, you can transmit it to unvaccinated people very easily, hence the mask requirement for vaccinated people.

The Delta variant, once it is in the body of an unvaccinated person, has the capability of multiplying at a rate---get this---1260 times faster than the original variant.

The Delta variant likes kids under the age of 18. Youngsters don't seem to have the immunity they had with the original variant.

4 weeks ago, the number of cases per day in the US had dropped to around 10,000 or less. It has been accelerating since then. Today the case count [not all states reporting] was 85,000. 83% of cases today are the Delta variant. It used to be 1%.

There is a brand new variant, the Lambda variant, that appears to have originated in Peru. It is spreading rapidly and it makes the Delta variant look tame in comparison. Will the vaccine work against it? Who knows at this point.

These data are from legitimate studies, most recently a study conducted in Israel and just released.

Check out everything I have stated above, but check it out with legitimate sources, and then make up your mind whether the Delta variant is a bunch of BS. And hang onto your hat because the Lambda variant is on the way.

Doc...hoping this makes me feel better? Thoughts on being labeled a "break thru case"?

I have sir..ripped thru me like a fat kid at the buffet...damn. And will do!

You take real good care of yourself, Mr. Hatchet. Make sure Mrs. Hatchet feeds you chicken soup and ice cream at regular intervals. Seriously, you should be OK. Hope you spread the word about the Delta variant.
Take four fingers of the brown and call me in the morning.

Thanks Doccherry for that, science makes sense when you study it, Another M.D. (Bonejour) chimed in awhile back and said -don't go to a hunting website for medical advice and don't go to a medical website for hunting advice. I think this is solid as to the way people should figure this out. No one at this point knows all the answers but IMO if you care lean towards over protection rather than blow off what science is telling us. After watching this for the past year and a half ask yourself who is getting infected and who is not ? short answer the unvaccinated.. are others .. yes but at a much lower rate. right now the stats show the unvacinated are the greatest spreaders aand appear to be leading the U.S. into another surge. The biggest problem is the misinformation that people fall prey to and not doing their homework to understand that it is just that.

Guessing I'm the lower rate guy..LOL. I hate covid
