Sometimes living in Ramona can be really cool.
I heard some "noise" out back and sure enough there are at least 10 turkeys hanging out in my back yard.
But I can't help but wonder, could I invite one to dinner from my own back yard or are there still rules that I am just not seeing?
Anyone have any experience with a bow [or gun] mounted range finder?
Friend of mine sent me this link, and I am really considering it.

On my way in to the office this morning I hit a small [maybe 3 foot tall] deer.
I live in Ramona and drive Wildcat Canyon to get to the 67 each morning. I was following 2 other bigger vehicles [F150 size trucks] with maybe 4 or 5 car lengths between us. Just before we got to the Tribal...
I am not trying to get secret honey hole locations or anything like that. Just some basic understanding about the behavior I have seen recently.
So I have asked around a few times here on the boards and ask the guys at Bow N Arrow and was told the local hogs like the lower altitudes [at or...
Just wanted to see if anyone would be interested in getting out next Saturday early. Mainly thinking of going for turkey, but I also have a pig tag depending on the area and what is around.
Thinking of maybe around Henshaw to Warner Springs general area and being there early.
Post or PM if...

I am starting to realize that I need to be able to range animals [if I ever see them] and have seen a lot of different products out there and a wide range of prices.
I am just wondering what you think between a rangefinder and binoculars with RF in them.
Also, any recommendations would be...
I have tried to find a class or school in So Cal [I live east of San Diego] but can't seem to find anything in my area and I was wondering if anyone knew of any or had been to any of the schools in the area. I have tried searching online for schools but can't seem to find anything close to me.
I recently started hunting and need advice on knives. I plan on hunting pigs for now, turkeys in the spring and then maybe deer next season.
Do I need at least two knives [1 for skinning, 1 for guting]?
Is there a decent "combo" knife out there?
Can I make my own?
Suggestions on where to buy...
I am new to bow hunting and would like to find another bow hunter or group to take down the elusive wild pigs and if possible turkeys. I know turkey season closes Sunday [12/9] but there is always spring season.
