Awesome as usual Steve! I’m just south of you in Yellowstone at the moment. Wifey and I are seeing the Tetons, Yellowstone and then heading up to Glacier. Having a look at the country outside of the parks as well with a mind for hunting in the future. Lots of moose, elk, bear and bison up here. Awesome country. I brought my 10’s but I’m kicking myself for not bringing my tripod and spotter... oh well.

Got my 1st kill yesterday...The wily P'Dog...The .17 HMR is nice, but longer range stuff doesn't kill 'em very well, if you don't crown 'em...So, a guy drives by and waves...He then slams on the brakes, backs up a couple of times, then drives off...2nd prairie rattler I've seen on this same road...I'm liking the roosters I'm seeing too...
ps...This rattler had no rattle...Just a knob...

Yeah I learned my lesson. I brought a duffle full of clothes I don’t need....
But I found a guy in Gardiner where we’re staying who rents 95mm Swaro spotters for 40 bucks a day with a nice Slik tripod and a phoneskope!
Saw a Grizzly sow and two cubs and 6 or 7 wolves tonight in Lamar valley. The wolf pic at the bottom is terrible because it’s last light and a mile away. Amazing place. Sorry Steve, not trying to hijack your thread...
